“And to you (Muhammad) We (Allah) have revealed the Book with the truth. It confirms the Scriptures which came before it and stands as a guardian over them. Therefore give judgment among men according to God’s revelations and do not yield to their fancies or swerve from the truth made known to you. We have ordained a law and assigned a path for each of you. Had God pleased, He could have made of you one community; but it is His wish to prove you by that which He has bestowed upon you. Vie with each other in good works, for to God you shall all return and He will resolve for you your differences.”
